Aerospace components commonly have an initial heavy machining operation before a heat treatment process and / or precision finishing. Our HAAS TL-25 SE is ideal for this; it has a twin-spindle configuration and ample power. The CT1118 platen lathe has a low power wrap round pneumatic collet chuck for holding thin and delicate parts – facilitating the production of thin discs and brake plates. Using Citizen sliding head and Hardinge sub spindle machines we have the capacity of machining 5 – 42 mm bars and parts of up to 400mm diameter. Ground diameters frequently make part of the precision finishing operations on aerospace components. Using CNC and conventional grinding plant our nine grinding machines give us the ability to create cylindrical and internal diameters and external threaded components.
