Testing and rating our All-Electric range

The Standard Duty Cycle (SDC) rating is our bespoke ranking system of our machines’ endurance, efficiency and battery life. It provides us with a practical and realistic understanding of how much work our machines can perform. The SDC test contains a comprehensive sequence of machine functions, performed with a full Safe Working Load and at maximum speed. The sequence replicates real-world machine usage and is repeated until the machine battery is flat. The number of SDCs completed on one full charge is the machine's SDC rating. The industry standard for a typical day’s work is equivalent to 16 repetitions of the Standard Duty Cycle (an SDC rating of 16). All our All-Electric machines have an SDC rating of 32 or above - twice as much as the industry standard for a typical day’s work - and some, like the HR12NE and HR12L, have an even more impressive SDC rating of 75 - that's four days on a single charge!
