Industrial scrubbers are used as a way of treating exhaust gasses through the spraying of water which collects dust particulates and gas within the liquid. Water can be mixed with various chemicals to improve the effectiveness of the scrubber, with the liquid collected and treated to remove noxious chemicals which would normally be released into the environment. An example of a chemical scrubber is a Urea scrubber or adblue spraying used within industry and more lately vehicles. The process of treating emissions with a fluid is known as wet scrubbing.
