The ZT420 builds on the field-proven reliability of the Z600 Series™ with advancements in print speed, print quality and connectivity options. Designed for ease of use, the ZT420 label printer offers an intuitive icon-based LCD graphical user interface and easy-loaded supplies.

The printer is constructed with an all-metal frame and a bi-fold door. The printer also includes standard USB, Serial, Ethernet and Bluetooth® capabilities. Expanded RFID capacities deliver greater tracking abilities, deeper visibility and enterprise insights.

In our Opinion

The Zebra ZT420 is a great industrial label printer which offers a 168mm print width so if you are printing pallet labels or 148mm x 210mm A5 labels then this printer print great quality labels for many years.  The printer also has a small light inside the unit so you can easily see where you are loading the labels and ink ribbon and if there are any labes stuck in the machine.  A small thing but a very handy feature!

The printer uses labels with a maximum roll diameter of 8"/203mm on 76mm cores only and 450 metre long ink ribbons are used so you will not be changing media supplies all the time.  One 450 metre ink ribbon will print approx 3 full rolls of labels.

This is the alternative to the larger width Zebra printers in the Xi series.  The Xi series are great label printers that are designed to be used in very harsh environments with its all metal construction (The ZT420 has plastic ribbon shafts, paper guides etc instead of the metal ones on the Xi series).  This printer will print labels of exactly the same quality using the same supplies and the same label design software but with a smaller price tag!

Please note: There is no Mac driver available for this printer - Only a Microsoft Windows driver.
