Since her appointment as Sustainability Co-ordinator for the business, Management Accountant Kim Little has been using the EcoVadis criteria to actively assess and evaluate the impact of a broad range of non-financial management systems including Environmental, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. NovaCast further demonstrates its commitment to engaging with organisations focussed on improving the environment by reporting its scope 1, 2 & 3 Greenhouse Gas Emissions under the GHG Protocol and reports to the Carbon Disclosure Project.
Kim has been actively supported in her efforts throughout the business and the changes made have resulted in NovaCast achieving a sustainability score that is way above the industry standard and places NovaCast just outside the top 5% of companies using the platform globally during 2022.
This outstanding progress shows what can be achieved with sufficient focus, management backing and commitment throughout the business. This is, however, a journey of continual improvement and the Silver Medal from EcoVadis is simply a recognition of the progress made to date. NovaCast will continue to push for greater improvements, both within its own business and throughout its supply chain.
