Size 8 Air Propane Nozzle
Air / propane broad flame burners provide a wide soaking heat flame shape and the flame is more likely to wrap around pipes which makes the burners suitable for applications such as brazing joints, soldering joints, warming articles, warming larger diameter heat shrink sleeve to seal cable joints. The #8 broad flame burner would be ideal pre-heating metals and post heating when welding plus may be used for melting metal, typically can be used for roofing applications especially when fitted to the quadruple outlet adaptor and operated with a soft flame. As with this range of burners there are many general heating applications.
As with all air / propane burners when set correctly the maximum flame temperature will be 1900 Celsius, the maximum temperature is generally at a point about 50% along the overall flame length when operating at full flow. When operating at less than full flow the hotest part of the flame will be closer to the burner. The volume of heat available increases with nozzle size, the #8 nozzle is the largest sized broad flame nozzle and consumes 4100 grams of gas per hour.
The other burner sizes in the range are #4, #5, #6 & #7 plus there are also smaller needle point flame nozzles, #1, #2 & #3 designed when small concentrated heat is required.
The #7 broad flame burners would normally be used with the 500mm long neck or the 650mm neck but may of course be fitted to the longer necks when required.
These are good quality burners manufatured in Spain.
