Jobber drill sizes manufactured from High Speed Steel (HSS) and the grinding manufacturing process "G" means these drill bits are accurate and well suited to work in fixed bench of pillar drills where the work is clamped in postion. The method of manufacture ensures accurate drill hole size may be achieved consistently and at good levels of production before re-grinding becomes necessary.

These drills are more likely to snap or chip the cutting edge should they be used in hand held drills unless the work piece is fixed and the drill is steadied during the drilling process. (Rather use the "Rolled" Metabo drill bits for drilling by hand).

The HSS-G drill bits are a bare metal finish and are suitable for drilling steel, cast steel, grey cast iron, malleable cast iron, ductile iron, sintered iron, nickel silver, graphite, non-ferrous metals and plastics.
