2% Thoriated TIG Tungsten - Red Tips

Our electrodes are sold in a pack of 10. 

Possibly the most common tungsten electrode used for TIG welding mild steels and stainless steels. For years this electrode has been used but as Thorium is radioactive and the regulations on transport of radioactive materials become tighter Binzel have developed an alternative. The alternative not only lasts longer being able to withstand higher amperages it also offers an extremely stable arc and is also slightly cheaper than the red tipped tungsten. 

So if you are open to change then it is recommended that you switch to the E3 product (in the related products below) to save money, improve your weld and take advantage of this new electrode type.

These Tungsten Electrodes are produced by Binzel and are only ever of top quality that ultimately results in saving you money in the longer term. 

All our Tungsten packs are available in a range of sizes from 0.5mm to 4.8mm however typically the most common sizes are 1.6mm, 2.4mm and 3.2mm. If you require a particular size not shown as in stock then get in touch and we will order them for you.
