Torch mounted flashback arrestor. These have two key roles, firstly for use with small torches and cylinder sets using short hoses. The flashback arrestor is ideally situated to prevent backfeeding of gases and stop flashbacks before the energy levels have increased. Secondly for fitting to larger shanks and cutting torches where cutting upto 200mm or heating with a 5H nozzle is possible. In this case the torch mounted flashback arrestor is added safety. The normal problem of hose check valves (HCV) becoming damaged / soot covered and leaking does not exist as the non-return valve in the FBA is protected by the sintered flame quenching element. " Belt & Braces" safety which will save money in the long run.Having two flashback arrestors can reduce the gas flow so this should be checked and ensure full fuel flow from the correct lighting up procedure.Length not including nipple 51mm x 19mm diameter
