Harris Style Oxy/Acetylene Gouging Nozzle Type H6290 G with wear skid This Harris type solid copper gouging nozzle is available in 3 sizes, produced to our own design these Harris style 6290 G have a wear tip brazed in position plus a captive head nut where necessary. Noz-Alls introduced the acetylene gouging nozzles with the wear skid to extend the nozzle life. At Noz-Alls we also improved the gouging nozzle design, our H6290 G #1 has been designed to be more stable than the original Harris nozzle which has only 5 pre-heat flames. The wear tip helps to prolong nozzle life as it maybe run along the material face / gouge path in a similar fashion to the AGNM gouging nozzles. The shape of the wear tip allows for both forward and back gouging. As with the standard style H6290 G weld removal tips these nozzles must be used with the correct acetylene injector 62-3A torch and with sufficient acetylene flow - H6290G#1 = 1 large industrial cylinder whereas the H6290 G #2 & #3 require a minimum of 2 large acetylene cylinders to feed one nozzle.
