Hobbywelds Stainless 98/2 is a 98% Argon with 2% Carbon Dioxide. The removal of oxygen and the lowering of the CO2 makes this gas perfect for welding stainless steel. This gas mix works best on material under 4mm and if you are welding over 6mm thick stainless then we recommend using the SS50 mix which is designed to give better penetration on thick section.
