E6013 All position mild steel welding rods. 1.6mm Diameter Nikko Steel RD260 welding rods are a good quality electrode with a wide range of uses. It is an exceptionally versatile rutile medium cellulose flux coated rod which offers a stable arc when welding on both AC and DC. Spatter is kept to a minimum and produces bright, evenly rippled smooth welds. Applications for this rod (RD-260) are described as follows; All positional welding of structural steels of the following and related steel specifications: Mild and medium carbon-manganese steels up to 15mm thick with a UTS of 500 N/mm sq max. Typical grades: BS 1449 plate and sheet, BS 4360 grade 43A and 43C, Lloyds A & D ship steel BS 4360 grade 50B Lloyds grades AH and DH, BS 3059 and BS 3601 grade 320-410 API5L A-B and X42. The 1.6mm rods are designed to work between 20-40 amps.
