Nikko Steel NSK-316 - 2.6mm 316 Stainless Steel Welding Rods AWS A5.4 E316-17 Yes for ease of listing we sell them as 2.5mm but the actual size is 2.6mm. Everyone calls them 2.5mm! It does however mean you get slightly more filler material for your money. This is a small pack of stainless steel rods with a net weight of 1kg. 316 is a grade specifically designed for joining high grade corrosion resistant components. For best results when using this rod try to keep the arc length as short as possible and keep the weave tight. Put simply keep the bead width within 2.5 times of diameter of the core wire. If the rods become damp they can be dried at 120 degrees C for 30 minutes. These 2.6mm rods have an ideal working range of 55-85 amps and will run on AC or DCEP.
