Quick Connector Probe American "B" Fitting 9/16 x 18 UNF Left Hand - Fuel Gas For the American torch styles this is the most common inlet connection referred to as the American "B" size fitting which is a 9/16 x 18 TPI UNF thread, in this case left hand for the fuel gas inlet connection. Fitting these probes to the torch inlet quickly allows the user to swap between say an American style cutting torch to a BOC style Type 5 shank. Important Note Most American regulators do not correctly fit UK cylinders unless they have been built with UK connections in which case the outlet is also the UK G3/8 connection therefore fitting these probes to an American regulator will not be advised as this would imply the inlet is the American style not the UK style. DO NOT fit and use these on American regulators. The American "B" QC probe nut is brass with the probe being manufactured from stainless steel to provide consistent sizes and long working life. The fuel gas probe cannot be fitted onto the inert QC body nor the oxygen QC body.
