DynaMIC G-DL Data Logger Package Standardized according to ASTM A 956, the DynaMIC operates according to the rebound method in which an impact body is impelled against the test surface by spring force. The hardness value is calculated from the ratio of speed of the impact body before impact and after rebounding from the test piece. The question as to which instrument and which impact device is suitable for the corresponding application depends on the required impact energy and on the type or size of the indenter. This kit includes the Dyna G impact device (5 mm tungsten carbide ball indenter and 90 Nmm impact energy). The Dyna G impact device is recommended for testing materials softer than 650 HB such as large castings and forgings. The DynaMIC instrument also works with the Dyna D and Dyna E impact devices (sold separately). The DynaMIC DL Data Logger model can internally store hardness values along with calculated statistical information. The instrument accepts memory cards which can supplement this data storage capacity and be used as parameter cards. As a parameter card, calibration values and instrument settings can be easily stored and recalled, which ensures the integrity of the test results and simplifies future instrument set-up. A precise calibration for a specific alloy within one of the nine preset material groups or an exotic material is quickly performed and easily recalled later. The DynaMIC even allows you to generate and store additional, company-specific material groups. You can print out test reports in a format of your choice or transfer your data to the PC via the RS232 interface. Application software from the UltraHARD series offers you numerous possibilities for further data processing.
