A durable black coloured ashtray manufactured from melamine.  One benefit of melamine compared to glass, is because smoking is outdoors now, if the wind swipes the ashtray to the floor, the ashtray remains intact!  You'll have to clear the buts up, but least you won't need to replace the ashtray!
