Certified compostable, these plastic knives are low carbon, high heat resistant up to 85ºC / 185ºF, while also being eco and economic. The cutlery is made from recycled compostable RCPLA and took two years of research and development to become part of the first cutlery range made entirely from recycled PLA! This range of compostable cutlery has 90% less embodied carbon than plastic and 51% less carbon than new PLA. This black disposable cutlery is coloured with food-safe carbon black pigment. Pattersons also stock the accompanying knives and forks in black, both also in packs of 1000.
