Peak Translations was recently shortlisted as a finalist in the Derbyshire Small Business of the Year category in the 2018 East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
Based in Whaley Bridge in the High Peak, Helen Provart, Managing Director and the team at Peak Translations have been celebrating their 40th anniversary this year with a series of events to mark the occasion,
including a Gala Dinner held for clients in July and a Conference being held for linguists in October, both at the Imperial War Museum.
“I am absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted as a finalist both for me and the team here at Peak Translations, particularly in our 40th anniversary year. Having taken over the company in 2014, I have been working on the strategic management of the business in order to grow but also to promote the importance of our industry, the need to work with qualified linguists to ensure high quality and standards to get the right message across as well as working on the sustainability of the industry by supporting linguists to enter and build their careers.
To now be recognised for the steps that have been taken and the exciting journey that the company has already experienced is an amazing achievement.” Helen Provart, Managing Director of Peak Translations
Each finalist faced a panel of judges before the winners were announced on Friday, 7th September, at an awards ceremony held at Pride Park Stadium, Derby. On this occasion, Peak Translations did not win the award, however, it was an honour to be shortlisted as a finalist.
