Apex collaretting systems for Copella Fruit Juice

Penn Packaging and Apex Automate have recently completed the installation of the first automatic Collarette placing system at Copella Fruit Juices in Boxford, Suffolk. The Apex MDR system can automatically place a bottle neck collarette (cone) onto one of six bottle sizes at speeds upto 200 bottles per minute. Apex Collarette machine for Copella The collarettes are supplied column stacked and placed into the Apex machine magazine. These are then singularly extracted using the rotating vacuum cup assembly and placed onto the bottle neck via an indexing starwheel to provide a constant bottle position. Handling bottles from 330ml upto 1.75 litre, with small change parts for the magazine and starwheel, the Apex system enables Copella to market and promote their range of fruit juices throughout the year. A second Apex MDR Collarette machine has been ordered and delivered to Copella and is set for installation later in the year.
