To complete a new bottling line, a Meypack high-speed VP 531 packaging machine with three fully automatic partition insertion systems was installed for The Absolut Company at its production facility in Åhus, Sweden. On this machine, glass bottles of “Absolut Vodka” ranging in size from 700 ml up to 1.750 ml are packed in 3 x 2 and 3 x 4 formations in wrap-around cases.
To protect the bottles, the machine is equipped with both a “servo-kicker” lane dividing system to gently handle the bottles as well as three fully automatic partition insertion systems. In addition, the machine also boasts an automatic blank loading station which removes the blanks from the pallet and feeds them into the blank magazine.
“Absolut Vodka” is a grain-based vodka that has been produced by The Absolut Company in the town of Åhus in southern Sweden since 1879.
“Absolut Vodka” has become internationally renowned, particularly through its unique bottle design which resembles a Swedish pharmacy bottle. Today it is the fourth largest brand of spirits in the world.
