Meypack advanced case packing for pouch products

Meypack have recently successfully delivered and installed a VP451 intermittent case packing system for handling flexible pouches into full wrap-around cases. The VP451 system is a proven and flexible case packaging solution capable of running up-to 28-30 cycles per minute, depending on the product and infeed solution. For this application a servo driven dual speed paddle chain was used to feed the products from the pouch packing machine. From here they are counted and picked by one of two overhead servo driven systems to transfer the pouches to the wrap-around blank. The products are then lowered through the case forming guides into the main cycling chain of the machine and subsequently glued and closed ready for palletising.
