For the leading ice cream producerR&R Ice Cream, Meypack installed a new FW 201 stretch-film wrapperat the production facility in Vayres, France. This machine augments an existing Meypack FW 201 to pack folding boxes containing ice cream conesin stretch-film. Meypack FW201 Stretch-wrapper With a large number of different brand products,the R&R Ice Cream Group is now well known across Europe as an ice-cream producer. Ranging from original FAB ice cream in retro look to the traditional brand Landliebe and onto the trendy Skinny Cow variety, R&R offers exactly the right product for every consumer target group. At R&R, the folding boxes of ice cream that enter the machine lying down are fed into the FW201 and erected by a pocket chain, grouped intoa variety of pack sizes and wrapped in stretch film by two counter-rotating film stretching and wrapping units. The machine is designed to support up to 30 different formats. Meypack’s FW Series stretch-film wrappers use very thin film that is wrapped two to three times around the respective product formation. During this process, no external energy is required, as it is in the shrink wrapping process in a shrink tunnel. In the stretch-wrapping process, the tautly pre-stretched film is fitted extremely tightly around the products to be packed and in this way creates a highly stable pack.
