Meypack tray-lid system for Arla Foods

Arla Foods is one of Meypack’s biggest customers, with installations in Denmark, Sweden and England. A recent project was realised in Denmark at Arla Bov, a company belonging to Arla Foods amba. Arla Foods, tray+lid packing Meypack installed a VP 453 inline case packer at the facility in Krusa. This machine, constructed entirely of stainless steel, packs the beloved Arla white cheese sold in rounded, rectangular containers into trays with lids. A specially designed infeed system guarantees that the containers are fed into the machine gently and without the use of pressure. With this “tray-lid”-application, the lid is positioned inside the tray and depending upon the customer’s wishes, can simply be inserted or secured additionally with adhesive. The machine is equipped with motorised adjustment points, which enable the machine to be automatically changedover within an extremely short time and ensure that the format settings remain unchanged.
