Pattern, Tool & Jig Making, Derbyshire

We manufacture patterns, tools & jigs in house, which allows The Plastic Works to be more cost effective & time efficient, ensuring your product reaches the market quickly. Equally we can use your own patterns and tooling, or those produced by a third party - whatever meets your needs. We will produce patterns & tools to either drawings designed by The Plastic Works or drawings submitted by you, either via hard copy or e-mail. We are able to read most drawing formats, so importing them to our system will not create any problems. If the product requires any modification or design adjustment to suit the vacuum forming process, as part of our service we advise our customers on how this may be achieved. The Plastic Works will normally manufacture Epoxy Resin tooling. However, if a more durable tool is required due to either extremely high volume, large surface area or unusually thin sections in an area, an aluminium cast / machined tool can alternatively be produced. Most Trim & Assembly jigs are manufactured on site enabling us to better meet time schedules. All tooling is stored & maintained on site.
