We spoke with our valued engineers at PWB Industrial Service Limited to tell us a bit more about their business and to share their experience of working with Powrmatic. Tell us a little about you, what you guys do, and how it all began? PWB Limited was formed in 1983 and operated from a small industrial unit in Poole with a team of engineers travelling the South Coast to cover all aspects of Industrial heating and Commercial Spray booths. In 1990 the company moved premises and expanded to include Air conditioning and Hire services. Fifteen years on and another successful move to even larger freehold premises at Dawkins Road, Hamworthy has seen further expansion with an increase in the hire fleet and a large fully equipped workshop for off-site repairs. PWB Heating can offer Installation, Maintenance, Hire and Servicing contracts for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning equipment and all works are carried out to a consistently high standard by fully qualified, directly employed, experienced engineers. A vast range of spares and ancillary products are available from stock, including burners, filters, fan belts, thermocouples and other common consumables including a comprehensive range of stainless steel and aluminium flue. How long have you been working with Powrmatic? SINCE 1983 Why do you like working with Powrmatic? We like the fact the Powrmatic are relatively local to us, offering products and spares at reasonable prices with a short lead time. What does a typical day look like for a heating engineer? No two days are the same, we could be called to attend domestic oil boiler breakdown or service a large gas fired spraybooth, install warehouse heating or office air conditioning. Whats the most useful bit of kit in your toolbox? Engineer experience is the most useful part of our toolboxes! Whats your favourite Powrmatic product to install and why? The new LNVX range has proven to be a great installation product due to its ease of installation, aesthetic appearance and utilising controls that do not require an engineering degree to understand! What does the future hold for you, and the HVAC industry as a whole? Who knows?! We hope that post Brexit and post Covid-19 the british economy will bounce back strong with the emphasis on ‘home grown’ manufacture and services.
