The annual Fire & Security Matters (FSM) Awards celebrate innovation and achievements in the fire and security sectors. The Fire Innovation of the Year Award, sponsored by Fire & Security Matters, is designed to recognise products or solutions that have been developed for either active or passive fire protection. The judges are looking for products, services or implemented installations or projects that are fit for purpose and have independent fire test evidence to support any performance claims. It is bi-directionally fire tested and certified by an accredited third party, Warrington Fire, and CERTIFIRE accredited up to two hours when installed in solid and flexible shaft walls. The PRECISION adjustable frame extends to the full size of the structural opening and is fitted with an integral intumescent strip to provide fire stopping between the wall and frame. The requirement for packers and the reliance on the application of the correct thickness of intumescent mastic bead is eliminated facilitating increased and sustained on-site productivity and a reduced margin for error during the installation process. Installations are future-proofed by achieving the highest possible standards of compliance and performance, as fire integrity performance has been sufficiently documented by an independent assessor.
