The new Profil Rivet Stud NBR is riveted into pre-pierced and pre-formed sheet metal. During the installation the pre-formed section of the sheet metal is positively secured between the stud head and the rivet portion. The result is a joint that can withstand high static and dynamic loads. For the production of the joint only the skirt material is displaced, so no external forces are brought to bear on the sheet metal. The NBR stud because of this is suitable for a wide sheet metal thickness range, starting from 0.6mm. Profil as a full system supplier also provides the processing technology to automatically install the studs under a press.
