Rushcliffe Country Park Play Area Reopens with Exciting New Features

 

Rushcliffe Country Park’s play area in Ruddington, near Nottingham, has officially reopened after significant refurbishments. The upgrades include new accessible equipment from Proludic, designed to enhance the play experience for children of all abilities.

 

New Features and Equipment

The revitalised play area now features a Proludic Kanope Tower multiplay unit, which boasts 14 different play elements. Additional new attractions include:

 

A wooden trail with panoramic views

A pendulum pod swing (J444)

A fully inclusive wheelchair seesaw (J987)

In total, 28 new play elements and 47 additional user activities have been added, ensuring a diverse and engaging environment for children.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at Rushcliffe Country Park

To celebrate the reopening, Proludic Ltd, Rushcliffe Borough Council, and local children from St Peter’s CofE Junior School in Ruddington held a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Mayor of Rushcliffe, Cllr Andy Brown, shared his thoughts on the reopening:

 

Rushcliffe Country Park is the jewel in our crown. Along with the new café, toilets, skate park, and refurbished paths, it’s a wonderful place for all ages. The addition of the new fully inclusive wheelchair-friendly seesaw and the canopy tower ensures the play area is enjoyable for all children.

 

School Involvement

Michael Bradley, Headteacher of St Peter’s CofE Junior School, added:

 

We were delighted to attend the official reopening of the play area. As a regular visitor with my children, I was impressed with the improvements. Our year 3 pupils had a fantastic time exploring the new equipment. They enjoyed a great afternoon. We thank Rushcliffe Borough Council and Proludic for the invitation and for the goodie bags provided for our pupils. These topped off a wonderful day.
