Boreline flexible riser is going from strength to strength in terms of its technical development and worldwide success. As part of this process, Proquip have been supplying Boreline in the UK for the past 15 years and have now sold in excess of 53,000 metre - that's well over thirty miles !. ( to September 2013 ) Continually challenging the boundaries of engineering, Boreline’s product development engineers have created Glass-Reinforced Nylon couplings for a full range of 1” up to 4” sizes. Based on the proven double locking system incorporated in the established stainless steel couplings, the GRN couplings have been designed to withstand depths of up to 100 metre without the need for a pump supporting wire or rope. Boreline is the only range of flexible rising main to include purpose-designed polymer couplings suitable for such depths and diameters. Another Boreline innovation in flexible rising mains is the introduction of the 2½” (63mm) riser which satisfies duties between 20 and 40m3/h, where the 2” is just too small and the 3” is oversized, thereby offering a more cost effective solution. Boreline’s constant commitment to product development results in a product that forever evolves to achieve the best quality possible. In our current environment where energy saving, operating life and cost are becoming ever more critical, Boreline flexible riser come into its own. Not only is it 100% corrosion resistant but it has a very low coefficient of friction, far lower than steel. Size for size, Boreline’s low friction losses reduce energy consumption over the lifetime of the installation or it may permit the use of smaller diameter of rising main over steel. Boreline will not allow build-up of deposits on the internal surfaces thus avoiding a serious cause of increased friction and reduced flow which can lead to eventual pump failure.
