Customer Support on the Road..

Over the past week or so, I have had the opportunity to go out on the road with one of our sales development managers, Paul Walker, visiting customers. After a caffeine pit stop and a few more miles on the road, we met with our first customer of the day. This customer, in particular, uses our PP005 Material which is one of our more resistant materials that are approved for use within the military. Their chosen format was a 100metre tube roll format which once packed and cut to size, you need to hermetically seal the barrier foil to get the best from it. We demonstrated our HZ30 constant heat sealer on the shop floor to show them how the sealing temperature can be altered to suit the laminate which they are using to create a quick and perfect hermetic seal as well as how the use of a foot operated pedal and table screw clamp can make it more time efficient and effortless for them to seal their tailor made barrier foil. Needless to say, they were extremely impressed but the day didn’t stop there! We gathered our things, clambered into the car and headed off over the hills to the east where we met our next customer, an export packer who has recently opened a new unit. This particular export packer uses our barrier foil bags, which help them to package and seal large items with ease. It was great to see how our barrier foil was wrapped around such large items, then placed into a larger blue case lined crates and loaded onto a shipping container ready for their trip across the sea! Speaking of shipping goods, I’ve also learned a lot about freight and shipping here at Protective Packaging Ltd. I have been processing orders for all types of products such as F.I.B.C Liners ready to be put to use in Eastern Europe, hot fill Drum Liners travelling to the East Coast of America and not to mention the thousands of Bespoke Barrier Laminated Bags and Pouches for applications ranging from Export Packaging down to the packaging of Dried Snacks.
