Luke Rayner is ‘turning’ into a top notch machinist thanks to hard work and dedicated mentors.
The 19-year-old, who works at Pryor Marking Technology in Sheffield, has just been awarded BTEC Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Student of the Year by Rotherham College of Arts and Technology.
It is his second award, after winning the BTEC Level 2 Learner of the Year award 2012 from Brinsworth Academy. He was also presented with an award from bosses at Pryor for his achievements.
But he couldn’t have done it without his apprenticeship mentors, pictured from left: Paul Wainwright, Luke Rayner, Neville Andrews and Ian Forrester.
