Laser Engraving the Heart of Steel

Steelworker turned sculptor Steve Medhi is using a specially adapted Portable Laser from Pryor to mark 150,000 names onto The Steel Heart, a 1138kg Superalloy sculpture which is soon to be part of the Yorkshire Steel Man. The Heart of Steel is now on display in Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre where people can find the laser engraved names they donated money to have feature on the sculpture.
