Prestigious National Manufacturing Award goes to Pryor

Pryor Marking Technology has been named a British manufacturing champion after being presented with a prestigious national business award from the renowned British manufacturing association, The EEF. Pryor walked away with gold at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards, held in The Grand Connaught Rooms, London on Wednesday 15th April 2015. The company won the Business Growth Award, sponsored by Westfield Health, which recognises manufacturers who have achieved dynamic business growth through actively managed and consistently delivered growth strategies. Pryor Marking Technology was selected by a panel of judges drawn from business leaders, industry experts and academics and was up against tough competition from a range of dynamic businesses, small and large, from across the UK. 87 judges took part in the awards and recognised Pryor as “a great SME achieving great things from Sheffield” out of 400 awards entries, all providing stories about their own challenges and achievements across UK manufacturing. The judges were won over by the company’s dedication and determination to grow, driven by a highly successful two-fold strategy that introduced a new product sector and market sector into its business. The 165-year-old company has successfully modernised and reinvented itself, exceeding growth targets by 100% and setting foundations in place for a bright future. Impressively, the SME is competing successfully against big global players and is showing no signs of slowing down.
