PIPEWORK REPAIRS

Pipework repairs carried out during a routine service, it was evident that there was a leak from a flange on their air handling unit. On closer inspection after removing the pipe insulation we found that the copper was badly corroded and leaking at a joint. The water was flowing along the insulation and dripping out from the flange. The customer had assumed the gasket was leaking and asked us to return on a weekend and replace the copper. We attended site and drained the whole plant room as there were insufficient valves to isolate the air handling unit. We sweat the end of the copper out of the adjacent fitting and replaced the pipe using 42mm copper together with a new flange. We then filled the system, added inhibitor, vented and left in working order. PW Maintenance can assist with any type of pipework repairs or modifications you may need..
