These reclaimed Grade 2 Australian Jarrah railway sleepers are probably between 40 - 70 years old, depending on which section of railway they came from in Britain. They are tight-grained tropical hardwood railway sleepers which our persistent weather has eroded and worn away at the exposed faces, creating a rustic, worn and aged effect. If you want clean cut lines and perfect edges, then you'll be disappointed. But if you want a piece of rustic, weather-worn timber that speaks of character and aged uniqueness, you'll love them.
