Office Relocations -Plan to Succeed
27-01-2009
Making the right move… Plan to succeed or dont plan and fail.
When everyone is talking of the difficult times ahead it is all too easy to get carried along with the worry factor of whether your business is waiting for the big bang. Companies start looking for the problems when really they need to keep on doing what they always have done, but make sure they are doing it right.
There is of course scope to review your current expenditure and make sure that all your profits are being spent wisely without creating the knee jerk reaction. A few simple tips from RAP Office Contracts suggest that if you are leasing your office and looking to relocate then take a look at their checklist (available from their website) to make sure you have considered all the options.
A good provider for relocating your company will make the whole process as stress free as possible, allowing the move to happen and your staff to continue their work in the new offices. Planning ahead with RAP will ensure that if your new offices need to be altered to accommodate your staff enabling you to work better they will programme the refurbishment to complete on time, ready for the move. The whole double process will be fully project managed.
Alternatively if your office simply needs a makeover and better space planning to accommodate expansion without moving anywhere, then CAD drawings can help you visualise any new ideas and needs. A very easy way to accommodate new staff or company mergers is by changing to more slim line furniture or hot desking solutions – large wide desks are often just not used and better furniture solutions are now much more up to date. After all, size isnt everything- but investing wisely in your business to operate efficiently is.
A recent example from RAP is when they relocated approx 66 staff and refurbished an office for their client AEG from central London to the Millennium Dome. The full case study is available on RAPs website with an interactive tour showing the CAD design and the pictures of how the space planning and fit out enabled this client to accommodate their staff into quite a confined area. This successful money saving objective impressed the client to such a degree that they engaged RAP to move a second office from Canary Wharf to America Street utilising their service of relocation and refurbishment.
