The DVT1 automatically switches an internal handset between door entry calls and external calls. There are two key benefits to the use of the DVT1 interface:- 1). Use a standard telephone handset for phone calls AND door entry calls. 2). You can divert a door entry call to an external telephone, such as a mobile phone, allowing you to answer your door even when you are out. The delay time from ringing the internal phone to switching to the external number can be adjusted to suit your needs. You can even operate an electric door release remotely to allow access when you're out!
