Electro Magnetic Locks

EM Series Standard electro-magnetic locks. A range of high security Electro-magnetic locks to suit most applications due to the minimum number of moving parts the locks are more reliable and require less maintenance. The design of the locks which virtually eliminate residual magnetism; low power consumption and ‘fail-safe’ operation make them ideal for emergency escape applications. The lock consists of an electromagnet, which is attached to a fixed doorframe and a strike plate that fits on to the moving door. The strike plate is equipped with swivel fasteners, which offer automatic alignment when the door is closed. When power is applied to the electromagnet the magnetic force will hold the door firmly closed. Different styles and designs are available; Standard, Slim line, Architectural, Micro, Mortice, Shear, Local Authority Range and ‘Door Hold Open’ Units.
