Enhancing System Integration: The Launch of AMT Sigma TDS
AMT proudly presents the Sigma Touch Display Solution (TDS), a revolutionary integrated touch display solution tailored to simplify the complexities associated with signal integration. This solution seamlessly combines LVDS, touch panel, and LED driver control signals into one connector. The Sigma TDS ensures high compatibility with uniform PIN definitions, enabling effortless integration into various customer systems and significantly reducing setup time.
Design and Specifications
The Sigma TDS is ingeniously designed to amalgamate LCD panels and Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch panels into a cohesive unit with a universal connector. This innovative approach allows for using a single cable across various LCD sizes, accelerating development, meeting stringent environmental standards, and minimizing inventory complexities. The product lineup is set to include 7”, 10.1”, 12.1”, and 21.5”, all of which have passed rigorous reliability tests and are on track for future CE and UL certifications to facilitate smooth product approval and timely market entry.
Enhanced Features and Durability
The Sigma Series TDS features LCD panels available in two brightness levels – 500 nits and 1000 nits – with an LVDS output interface and an industrial-grade operating temperature range( -20°C to 70°C or -30°C to 85°C). The LED lifetime ranges up to 50,000 or 70,000 hours, ensuring long-term durability. These LCDs are equipped with integrated drivers and offer PWM dimming capabilities, with the option to incorporate AMT’s AD104 AD Board based on specific requirements.
Advanced Touch Panel Technology
Each model within the Sigma Series TDS is equipped with AMT high-quality PCAP touch panels, which boast a wide range of operating and storage temperatures. The touch panels are designed with chemically strengthened glass that is UV-resistant and conforms to rigorous ASTM G154-Cycle 1 standards. Customization of the cover glass is available, and the touch solutions support use with thick glass and gloves, featuring robust ESD and EMC protective designs that meet IEC 61000 standards. Additionally, AMT provides an intuitive PenMount controller utility for swift firmware adjustments.
Bonding Options and Technical Support
Sigma TDS offers various bonding options, including tape bonding or optical bonding using AMT’s proprietary Lucent Gel silicone OCA, known for its exceptional resistance to weather and UV light. This in-house production of optical bonding not only boosts the reliability of LCD panels but also streamlines the supply chain, shortening the time to market and offering extensive technical support.
Comprehensive Customer Service
The AMT Sigma Series Touch Display Solution provides a convenient one-stop service, making it easier for customers to acquire necessary accessories and materials while minimizing the need for extensive hardware and firmware design. Suited for a wide range of applications – from outdoor to medical settings – AMT leverages its 25 years of expertise in the touch industry to deliver stable, long-term supply and expert services.
