While the table moves along the longitudinal and cross axes, the milling head moves vertically via powered rise and fall. For precise positioning, all drives are inverter controlled, with high precision C7 double nut ball screws on the X, Y, and Z axes. The machine's functioning is further enhanced by dual operator handles on the front for control of the X axis (longitudinal).
