As a cost effective alternative to traditional milled foam samples for prototype and development foam seating projects Rojac now offer a unique rapid solution. Low cost rapid foam tooling manufactured directly from CAD data.
This process is often used in the place of milled foam parts for development and prototype automotive seats and headrests, the advantage against milled samples includes the fact that the mould tool can produce multiple parts, can be easily modified and that mouldings can be produced to the correct hardness including (if required) dual hardness and inserts.
With rapid foam tooling Rojac typically go from CAD model to moulded seat parts in seven days or less days and the cost is comparable to your first off milled part.
The rapid foam mould tool can then produce further parts and can be easily modified if required.
