Allister Dempster of Sandstone Design recently used our Clayfibre Chelsea Box planters to great effect in a local garden design project. Allister Dempster, a well-respected landscape gardener based out of Crowborough, has been a valued customer of Round Wood for several years. Whilst he most frequently installs our hardwood decking products, he keeps appraised of our full range so got in touch when he needed statement planters to frame a set of steps he had created for a client. He plumped for Clayfibre Chelsea boxes as their stylish and authentic lead appearance best complemented the sandstone property. The classic cubes provide an attractive symmetry in this space and are staggered, which creates a softer and more natural look than a balustrade would provide. Clayfibre faux lead planters are not only attractive but also eco-friendly. They are made from recycled materials and the manufacturing process requires only 10% of the energy used for ceramic and plastic equivalents. They are also lightweight and will weather beautifully, emitting salts to develop an attractive, misty, faux-lead patina.
