180 x 19mm Thermo Treated Dark Chocolate Engineered Product Information -180mm x 19mm engineered oak flooring - Thermo Treated for durability and colouration - Dark Chocolate finish consistent throughout wear layer - 4mm Wear Layer - Mixed pack: ABC grade - Cross bonded, multi-ply backing - Pre-finished with Hard Wax Oil - Tongue and Groove all round - Micro bevel on long edges - All knots filled & sanded Thermo Treatment Thermo Treated timber is heated to temperatures in excess of 200°C in a protective steam vapour that stops any cracking or burning. As a result the timber and its grain structure compress, significantly enhancing both its rigidity and appearance. The process also fuses an attractive, chocolate colour into the timber that deepens if the temperature of the treatment is increased. Our thermo treated engineered boards are offered in two colours: Dark and Medium Chocolate. As the colour is achieved throughout, scratches or scuffs do not reveal a different shade underneath, as can be the case with stained timber. When compared to untreated timber the colouration achieved is also very consistent, which is often sought after in flooring.
