Blue Arrow: Rubb’s new gin cocktail

Rubb has partnered with Proud to Drink to bring you a decidedly on-brand cocktail: the Blue Arrow. Using Poetic License gin from our previous round, Gateshead-based cocktail expert Proud to Drink has mixed a fantastic new drink for us to share with our customers. The bright blue cocktail contains Poetic License Old Tom Gin, quad sec, Blue Curaçao, and lime sherbet. It’s best served chilled with a slice of orange (though you can drink it straight from the pouch if you like!). Tom Proud, Proud to Drink’s owner and namesake, has had a successful career in hospitality for 25 years, working in top bars and restaurants in the North East. In late 2020, Tom entered the Ready to Drink cocktail market during the UK’s first round of lockdown—a sector that’s been booming ever since. You’ll find Proud to Drink online as well as at Newcastle’s Jesmond Food Market every 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month. You may also be ordering his cocktails without knowing it, as he provides consultancy services to venues across the country looking for his cocktail menu expertise. Look for Rubb’s booth at DSEI, British Port Association, and MRO Europe events this year to grab a pouch while stocks last—we think they might be popular!
