Checkpoint facility for Channel Tunnel Group

Rubb has supplied an 11.1m EFASS for The Channel Tunnel Group. The 11.1m span, 16m length, 4.29m leg facility was installed in Folkestone, Kent. The structure features aluminium framework, which is clad with a durable white PVC coated tensile fabric, terminated at eaves level. The structure will be used as a vehicle checkpoint facility. Rubb previously supplied a 20.4m wide x 16m long sunshade to the company in 2017. Rubb fabric buildings feature structural steelwork that has been hot dip galvanized to protect against corrosion. The cladding membrane is made using high tenacity PVC polyester fabric, which is flame retardant and has a life expectancy of up to 25 years.
