Rubb to provide top-class sports facility for the Grammar School at Leeds Rubb Buildings, a world leader in the design and manufacture of custom-made relocatable engineered fabric structures, has scored a contract to design and build a new sports facility for the Grammar School at Leeds. The Grammar School at Leeds approached Rubb to meet their requirement for additional indoor sports space to maximise usage in bad weather—something Leeds is in no shortage of! We have no doubt this 38m span, 60m long, 6m leg BVC multi-sports structure will live up to their reputation of sporting excellence. Ipswich Academy facility pictured. The Rubb BVC structure is designed with a vertical column leg and a lattice frame roof. This structure type is commonly used for Rubb’s larger sports halls, as the column leg design provides a large playing area and maximises the usable width. This allows for more interior clearance over the full width of the building. Included in the structure is a roller shutter door, measuring 4m wide x 4m high, as well as four access doors to each side of the building. Rubb Sales Executive Stephnie Coyle commented: “It’s great to be working with The Grammar School at Leeds to deliver their new indoor multi-sports facility. I have been involved in the project development for quite some time now and it will be a great new addition to the sports facilities they have on site.
