Rubb Buildings Ltd has provided the ideal adaptable storage solution to Fastflow Energy to storage materials and protect equipment.
Fastflow is a leading UK maintenance company, operating in the infrastructure sector, with a 600-strong workforce deployed across the UK. Fastflow is equipped to provide sustainable, innovative and value adding services to contribute positively to the community.
Rubb has supported Fastflow with a section of the new high-speed railway line in Birmingham called the HS2 (High Speed Two). The HS2 will be the backbone of the national rail network which will link London and Birmingham to Manchester, the East Midlands and Leeds. The HS2 trains will serve over 25 stations connecting around 30 million people, and is due for their first passengers to travel late 2026.
To support the railway construction Rubb manufactured and installed two standard, robust shelters. The THA storage shelters feature spans of 8m and are both 15m long, with sidewalls of 3m. The shelters incorporate an easy access PVC curtain door, measuring 4.5m wide x 4.1m high. The shelters were constructed quickly and will be used to store materials and equipment.
The Rubb THA standard shelter range is made from a hot dip galvanized steel framework and PVC fabric cladding. The framework is galvanized to protect it against corrosion, creating a lifespan of at least 30 years. The covering membrane is fabricated from flame retardant, high tenacity PVC polyester fabric, which is tensioned over the frame. The white translucent roof creates a naturally bright internal working environment.
