Flexibility was a factor which drove a supercar manufacturer to select a Rubb rental structure as a storage solution for its production centre.
The well-known British manufacturer of high-performance sports cars is constantly aiming to set new benchmarks in terms of performance and efficiency.
At their manufacturing plant they employ more than 1,000 skilled employees and the company makes a significant contribution to the local and national economy. The company supports a variety of suppliers, many of which are highly innovative SMEs.
Rubb was contacted to manufacture and install a standard 12m span x 12m long THA type shelter, featuring a 4m x 4m roller shutter door. The temporary rental shelter is used to store car body panels.
Sales Manager Andy Knox said: “They had heard about Rubb from the hangar project we completed for easyJet. They needed a storage building and our contact, who previously worked at easyJet, said he knew just who to call. They chose the rental option because they needed a flexible, short-term storage shelter, that could be delivered and constructed quickly.”
The THA’s structural steelwork is hot dip galvanized to protect against corrosion. The covering membrane is manufactured using high tenacity PVC polyester fabric, which is flame retardant. This is tensioned over the frame. THA structures are liftable, moveable and extendable – the ideal solution to help meet changing logistical needs.
