PROTECT UVR HIGH GLOSS TOPCOAT
Two Pack Epoxy High Gloss Topcoat for a High Gloss Finish Why do we apply topcoats to our precious metal when most of the substrate's protection comes from the primer and mid coats? Topcoats are applied for a number of reasons, including choice of colour, choice of sheen (gloss), and adding an extra level of protection to the previous coats. Rustbuster Protect UVR?is superior to other epoxy topcoats in that it offers a higher level of colour quality and sheen retention. Unlike traditional epoxies and conventional paints, this colour and sheen won't fade over time and exposure to UV light. Traditional epoxies tend to chalk over time when exposed to UV light and lighter colours can yellow when hidden from UV light. It's a tricky balancing act! Well not any more, as Protect UVR is both UV stable and non yellowing. Protect UVR is an extremely high performance two pack high gloss VOC compliant epoxy acrylic finish, providing an excellent topcoat for any of our epoxy primer systems, including EM121, Custom 421, Zinc Rich Epoxy Anode etc. This topcoat can be used over them all. The standard colour is black but you can enquire about any other colour in RAL or BS standard colours. Non-isocyanate. Colour and gloss retention superior to standard epoxy coatings and topcoats. Non chalking. Non yellowing. Long pot life but quick drying. 54% volume of solids. Theoretical spreading rate 10 m2 per litre. Recommended dry fill thickness 60 um. ?
