An effective, simple solution to land drainage and ground saturation control.
A catch pit is essentially just an empty chamber, used in land drainage systems that do not employ a geo-textile to filter out soil and other particles.
Catch pits consist mainly of a chamber with one inlet and outlet. Water enters the chamber complete with any sediment and all debris settles to the bottom whilst the water is still in the pit. The outlet is then piped onwards towards a main drainage system.
When ordering catch pits please specify:
A single or two price design, two piece designs allow easier removal of ballast material and silt but means the chamber must be placed lower to accommodate the longer length.
Orientation and diameter of inlet and outlet spigots, these can also be adapted to suit customer requirements.
Diameter of chamber, up to 3000mm available to order.
Depth of sump, a larger sump reduces time between cleanings but increases the time spent removing material from the chamber when cleaning in necessary.
The type of cover required.
